Cool, another rat post?
Hey girl,
It's good to hear that the knee is moving along and the end is in sight. After endless months of insurance paper work, doctor referrals, and waiting to get an appointment, your whole experience reminds me of when my mother had a very similar injury. And, I recall my mom beefing about not having time to do exercises in the short gap between actually getting diagnosed and getting surgery. When he diagnosed her the orthopedist immediately scheduled surgery for the next week, and then told my mom, she should have been doing special exercises all those months she was waiting around before having surgery. Of course it was the orthopedist himself who discovered what was actually wrong, what exactly needed surgery, what needed to be exercised in preparation, and that the taking of, interpreting, and diagnostics from MRI images was apparently something that she should have done in the first place. Odd isn't it? How a brilliant man who is the product of our vast & miraculous modern medical sciences has only a miniature comprehension regarding the truly mind boggling culture of our health care system? If I come back in the next life as a lab rat I really shouldn't complain. Sure, I could be subjected to all manner of unseemly medical experiments... but at least they will be performed in an orderly nature.
No problem with the doggies yesterday. Toby was very well behaved, mellow, and not needing much attention once he had pooped... which he managed to do this time on the other side of the tunnel!! Tanzi and I had a nice time too. I explained to her what a book is. She didn't believe me. Not even after I clarified that the book itself didn't actually go into my head, just the words. The wonderful etherial words and ideas. She suggested that we change the subject and consider "Dog Biscuits Vs Cat Treats: The pros and cons of a diet which does not consist of both."
